Target Rubber
Bo-o-o-o-o-innnng! No, not that kind of rubber...and certainly not that kind either - visitors from the States, stop sniggering at the back there at once! No, it's the kind of rubber which means a series of games, in this case a series of different target rounds shot during our outdoor season from April to September (as opposed to our other outdoor season from October to March - see Winter Combinations).
The total of each archer's best result for each kind of round decides both the outcome and the medals, plus there is now a special trophy for the archer whose performance has improved the most since the year before. This coveted piece of silver plate is known simply, if a little misleadingly, as the Rubber Salver. It does not bounce, so don't try.
