Longbow Archery

Green Hollow Bowmen practise traditional longbow archery to the rules of the British Longbow Society. The BLBS is dedicated to the continuing recreational use of the traditional British longbow, as well as supporting related crafts such as bowmaking and fletching.

The club does its best to follow in this tradition and generally shoots only traditional two-way target and clout rounds at club meetings, with occasional diversions into flight and wand shooting. The club also only permits the use of authentic British-style longbows, so modern Olympic-style recurve and compound bows are right out!

Above all, the club embraces the friendly, non-competitive atmosphere prevalent at all BLBS meetings, as well as promoting the skills and crafts of longbow archery both on the shooting field and in the workshop.
