Come and Try Longbow Archery
Those who would like to have a wee go at traditional archery might like to visit one of our Come and Try Longbow sessions. We hold several open events at Mugdock Country Park every year as part of the Park's Events Programme.
These are informal "drop-in" events. You can watch a free demo by club members at the beginning of the session or just turn up any time and have a go yourself. Participants are welcome of all ages from the very small to the no longer even remotely small, though please note that under-eighteens must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when taking part. The cost is three arrows for £1 which includes one-to-one tuition plus a wee prize if you can hit the middle!
Please note that our insurance conditions relating to the Child Protection Act require that all those under the age of eighteen attending any meetings of Green Hollow Bowmen or of the BL-BS must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian, or by a responsible adult authorised in writing by their parent or guardian.
